Did you know that once you become a qualified dental nurse the world is your oyster!
Not only do you become a GDC registered dental Professional but the door opens to a range of different career oportunities.
Whilst some may be content to stay as they are once qualified there are lots of post graduate qualifications that can be obtained such as radiography, sedation nursing, oral health promotion and special care dental nursing. Not forgetting the additional duties like rubber dam placement, fluoride application amongst others.
For those of you that would like to go even further the career path can lead you back to university to become a dental hygienist or therapist some dental nurses even train to become a dental laboratory technichian.
There is also the management side of things as well for example you may become a senior nurse, practice manager or even group/area manager.
And of course there is the training side of things as well. You can gain teaching qualifications enabling you to teach other members of the team a range of different qualifications and also deliver CPD.
Lastly there are many other fields such as dental software training, dental sales, consulting and many more.
Who would have thought becoming a qualified dental nurse could open the doors for so many opportunities!
